Villanova by the Numbers recently posted about returning minutes and Pythagorean winning percentage, and notes that for the second season in a row, Georgetown is poised to improve over last year's Big East record. Here's the excellent summary scatter plot:

The recently renamed GonzoBall blog - now doing business as South Orange Juice - unveiled a three-part Big East (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3). Notable for picking Georgetown to finish second in the league.
And Rob Dauster over at Ballin' is a Habit has a nice preview, with a bit more focus on the players rather than just predicted team rank.
Thanks for the nod Brian. A revision puts Cincinnati in the lower left quarter though. It looks as if Coach Cronin will not lift the suspension on rising senior Rashad Bishop in time for the season. Though he remains "enrolled" at Cincinnati, the Bearcats are practicing for a Labor Day weekend Canadian tour without him. Bishop took "Role Player" type possessions and shots, but registered a high offensive efficiency. The offense-starved Cincinnati squad could really use him, but reinstatement appears unlikely at this point. Dan Hanner's observation about Cronin on the hot seat this season appears to be spot-on.
